La Vidéothèque is an independant plateform that has been collecting, broadcasting and distributing video-artists' creations from around the world since 2010. La Vidéothèque undertakes projections, on-line publications and sometimes editing within a dynamic of constructive reflection around video creation and diffusion. It considers itself to be a virtual space that contributes to the diffusion of contemporary video creations whilst bringing together all types of production.
La Vidéothèque aims to open peoples' eyes to unconventional and unexpected visual and audio forms. It aims to encourage access to video-creation through the use of social networks and projections. To play a part in making national and international artists known. To show respect for artists' work by paying for all videos broadcast. And to develop a line of critical thought around video creation and digital arts. It is based on exchanges and collaborations with international artistic broadcasting structures.
La Vidéothèque is first and foremost a meeting place between a work and its public.
